Street Fighter X Tekken will feature Vita/PS3 connectivity

Capcom has confirmed that they are planning to implement cross-platform play for the both the PS3 and PlayStation Vita versions of upcoming fighting game, Street Fighter X Tekken.

Speaking with Eurogamer, the games Producer Yoshinori Ono also confirmed that InFamous protagonist Cole MacGrath will be playable character in both the PS3 and Vita versions of the game.

"We've just started working on it [the Vita version]," he said. "We're going to do our best to do whatever we can to link it up with the PS3 version and try all sorts of new things. Look forward to that. If you can make it out to Tokyo Game Show you can ask me again and I'll be able to answer better," Ono added.

At Sony's E3 press briefing last week, Ono revealed that upcoming crossover fighting title is also in development for the PlayStation Vita. The game is slated for release in 2012 for the PS3 and Xbox 360, with a Vita version soon to follow.
