PS Store to be restored next week, dev partners told

If all goes according to plan, there should be two content pushes for the next two weeks, beginning next week, May 24th. The first one will be sending out the updates meant for April 26th, while those scheduled for May 3rd will come out on May 27th

It's sure been a busy several weeks for Sony. As their restoration of the PlayStation Network continues on its way, word on the street is that the PlayStation Store will be back up by next week. And no, we're not talking about a vague "next week" timeline, but an actual specific date.

Gamasutra reportedly got their hands on a memo sent out to Sony's partners, which laid out the dates when their goods will be back online for the gamers' consumption. "We thank you for your patience as we work to resume service of the PlayStation Store," said Jack Osorno, PSN content manager, in the memo.

For the second content push, they will be bunching up the releases of those that were supposed to come out over a spread of three weeks. To be able to address the backlog issues on the PS Store, these will instead be released on week 2, on the dates of May 31st and June 3.

"If there are concerns, we are willing to consider adjusting the release date of your content on this schedule. Adjustments will be made on a case by case basis," continued Osorno.

Well, we should then keep those fingers crossed tight that no other obstacles get in Sony's way to fully restoring the PSN.
